Mabee Library

The Mabee Library specializes in developing up-to-date files, assisted by computerized databases, of diverse information about the human condition. These include areas such as:

  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Trace elements
  • Amino acids
  • Specific diseases
  • Diet
  • A wide range of other topics
Health Hunters, co-learners (patients), contributors, volunteers, students, consultants, and staff have access to the library.

Enter the Mabee Library through The McLaughlin Foyer, which was dedicated in June, 2004, to the memory of William D. and Dorothy D. McLaughlin.

PURPOSE:

The goal of The Center is to spread an epidemic of health. Co-learners are encouraged to seek out information about their own individual needs. The Mabee Library plays a significant role in that process.

VIDEO TAPES:

Over 1,200 video tapes are available. These are tapes of international conferences on human functioning and classes held at The Center as well as tapes that have been donated or purchased. The audio-visual area is equipped with video tape players.

PERIODICALS:

The library has on site over 250 journals and newsletters. Current issues are on the display shelves. Back issues are available also. Although the periodicals are not available for check out, you are welcome to read them in the library.

JOURNAL ARTICLES:

Over 10,000 articles have been collected from sources outside our library. This collection is included in the computerized card catalog.

INTERNET ACCESS:

Computers are available for searching the internet for health-related material..

COPIER:

A copy machine is available for your use at a nominal charge of $0.10 per copy.

READING AREAS:

There is a quiet reading area which have natural lighting along with full spectrum lights.

RESEARCH:

Library staff and volunteers are available to assist you in finding the answers to your questions.

We are always interested in any suggestions for adding to the collection or improving the library.

Older books are occasionally withdrawn from the shelves due to new acquisitions or duplications. These books are made available for purchase during National Library Week in April.

Contributions to the library are always welcome. The Mabee Library exists through contributions.
